I write about dangerous men, difficult women, and the moments that change history.
My passion is historical fiction, particularly the fifteenth century: the Wars of the Roses, the Tudor age, and the people who lived through England's most turbulent years. Not the sanitised versions from textbooks, but the raw truth: the ambition, the betrayal, the loves that destroyed kingdoms.
My characters are flawed. My heroines are survivors. My heroes are complicated men who do terrible things for reasons that make perfect sense to them. And my endings? Not always happy, but always earned.

I'm currently working on the Blood of the Bear series about Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick, the Kingmaker. History tells us he was intensely private, with no recorded mistresses despite living in an age when men like Edward IV flaunted their affairs openly. History also tells us his cousin Alice Neville remained unmarried until the unusual age of twenty-three.
History doesn't tell us why. I think I know.
